Marina Zaloznaya, Assistant Professor of Sociology is giving a talk at the University of Iowa on: 
Sociology of Corruption in the Age of Neoliberalism: Deconstructing the Cult of Transparency and the Myth of Corruption Cultures

Marina Zaloznaya is an alumna of the USA/USA Seminar 1999.  She is originally from Kerch.  

She attended TASIS in the UK and then won a full four year college scholarship to Middlebury from which she graduated Summa cum Laude.

She has recently completed her PhD in sociology at Northwestern University.  Her PhD thesis was on the current state and culture of Ukrainian higher education.  

She has just started as an Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa in Iowa City.
