Peter the (future) Great visited London and Oxford for just three months in 1698 and spent his time mostly getting drunk and occasionally chasing women.

According to this very entertaining BBC report on his visit, he could not have made a worse impression on his English hosts and handlers. http://bbc.in/VEFPTS

But there is no doubt that in his sober moments, he observed enough, learned enough, and made enough contacts in order to end the isolation of Muscovy, to build a world class capital in St. Petersburg, to create a modern navy, and to turn Muscovy into Russia and a world power.

So, if one drunken and spoiled nobleman can learn so much by simply visiting a major metropolis, then what will a cadre of some of the most talented Ukrainian students who have excelled at the very best universities in the world be able to do?

Follow us at http://on.fb.me/ykramerezha as we make that happen.
