Kyiv Mohyla Academy held the Graduation ceremony of the Class of
2013 on June 28th with the attendance of graduates, their families,

the university's re-establishment in 1991. As each year, graduates of
the university's schools and departments received their diplomas from
Dr. Viacheslav Briukhovetsky, the university's honorary president, and
Dr. Serhiy Kvit, president.

This year's graduating class consisted of 913 graduates: 462
received a Bachelor's degree, 382 a Master's degree, and 69 a
specialists' diploma. In addition, 69 were awarded the MBA degree from
the Kyiv Mohyla School of Business. This was the largest graduating
class since the university's rebirth in 1991.

This year commencement speakers included three distinguished
educators: Marta Kolomayets, Director of the Fulbright Program in
Ukraine, Jerzy Kozakiewicz, professor of history at Warsaw National
University and former ambassador of Poland in Ukraine, and Volodymyr
A. Vasylenko, doctor of jurisprudence, Kyiv Mohyla Academy Law School
professor, and Ambassador of Ukraine.

Ms. Marta Kolomayets commented on the success of Kyiv Mohyla
Academy's students, faculty and graduates and their participation in
the Fulbright Program. She said, "It was such an honor to give the
commencement address at the National University of Kyiv Mohyla Academy
on June 28; the University has sent more than 50 students and faculty
to the US on Fulbright grants and more than 70 US students and
scholars have done research and taught at NaKMA. It is a great
institution of higher learning with wonderful European traditions and
high moral and democratic standards".
