Among the various uninformed and silly articles about Ukraine, this one is
right up there. Criticism in Ukraine of anything and everything is robust,
so the "exceptionalism" is an invention. And the idea that selling a
billion-dollar business in today's Ukraine for something approaching
pre-war market value is absurd. What Poroshenko should have done earlier
and finally now claims to have done is retain an investment bank to arrange
for something akin to what we would call a blind trust.
